We bite into them, we cut them, we pick at them, in fact, we have declared all out war in order to get rid of them. What is this horrible thing we work so hard to get rid of? Cuticles. However, did you know, that your cuticles do serve a purpose? Your Cuticles are a […]
It’s hard to hear the word “NO” and it’s even harder not to take that rejection personally. However, with practice and mental adjustment, you can think positive and embrace the quote “Yes I Can”! The next natural progression from “Yes, I can” is “Yes, I will” and then it ends with “Yes, I did!”
Think Positive and Your Outlook Changes
In the world of direct sales, you will hear “No” in its many different forms. No, No Thanks, Not Right Not, It’s Not for Me, Absolutely Not. When you hear “no” over and over again, it’s not uncommon to get discouraged. However, successful wonder women of Jamberry (and other direct sales companies) don’t get discouraged. Rather, they focus on their power to think positive. They overlook the “no’s” and instead focus on the goal and figure out how to overcome the obstacles.
The first step in the journey is to believe in yourself and in the power to think positive thoughts.
Situations Don’t Cause Emotions
It is what we believe about what is happening that causes us to have feelings. Whether negative or positive, those feelings then determine how we respond. If a consultant makes 200 calls and gets no booking, no sales, and no recruits, it isn’t unusual for her to feel discouraged. Her reaction to those negative feelings is to think, well the market is saturated, no one is buying or even that everyone hates her. Most of us believe that the situation, the lack of bookings, recruits, and sales, caused her to feel bad, with the end result of her giving up.
However, another consultant facing those same circumstances of 200 calls with no results, will turn the negative feeling into a positive. She convinces herself that she can move beyond this “bump in the road”, she just needs to change her methodology. Consultant 2, (the wonder woman consultant) makes adjustments to her approach, and instead of giving up, attains her goals. She gets bookings, recruits, and sales.
A Wonder Woman Attitude
The first component of being a direct sales wonder woman is to think positive and to have a “yes, I can” attitude. Is it easy? No, but it is achievable and not only will your positive attitude change your success in direct sales, but it will also make you a wonder woman of your life.
